We are overjoyed to share the announcement of this major event for the Alpha Psi Foundation History. On December 23rd, 2022, the Powell Match Gift Agreement between the Alpha Psi Education, Scholarship & Leadership Foundation and University of the Pacific Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy was established. The Alpha Psi Foundation was made an irrevocable donation of $100,000 to be matched by the Powell Fund Match, a gift matching program of the University of the Pacific. This agreement will create a $200,000 endowment to provide $8,000 annually in new student scholarships for School of Pharmacy students who are members of the Alpha Psi Chapter of Phi Delta Chi. The scholarships will primarily provide support for Pre-Pharmacy, 1st and 2nd year pharmacy students. As a result of this agreement, the Foundation will be providing approximately $20,000 annually in scholarships, in addition to our Leadership Programs and Grants.
The Foundation embodies the belief that investing in the development of student pharmacists and new professionals is an investment in improving the profession of pharmacy and health of our communities.
The mission of the Alpha Psi Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt public benefit corporation, is to provide scholarships and leadership development for men and women student pharmacists and new professionals. The Foundation funds eight scholarships annually and conducts leadership development programming.
The Alpha Psi Foundation, A 501 (c) (3) tax exempt public benefit corporation (EIN 65-1316835), annually awards eight scholarships and conducts leader development workshops. These programs and other Foundation activities are possible solely because of generous donations made to the Foundation. Because all operational costs of the Foundations are supported by other activities, donors can be assured that 100% of their donation goes directly to students or their training in leadership.
